Adrenalin and luxury

Total gross floor space: 7,000 m²
Hotel: 2-story main building, 27 suites, restaurant, bar, spa, patio
Suites: 1 luxury suite (450 m²), 24 suites (75 m²), 2 suites (155 m²)

Motorsport enthusiasts across the globe agree that the Ascari Race Resort provides one of the most exclusive and finest race tracks in the world.

The Ascari Race Resort is named after Alberto Ascari (1918–1955), the first driver to win the Formula 1 world championship twice. Completed in September 2003, the course is located in southern Spain, 10 kilometres from the historic town of Ronda, and owned by Dutch multimillionaire and avid racing driver Klaas Zwart. The 5,435 metre track includes 26 curves, inspired by famous courses such as Daytona and Silverstone, putting its elite visitors to the ultimate test.

In contrast to the non-stop action on the track, the Ascari Club House offers a cosy atmosphere, with an idyllic terrace overlooking the race track and a picturesque Andalusian vista.

Luxury hotel adds to high-class atmosphere

In order to complete the exceptional experience offered by the Ascari Race Resort, a luxury hotel, providing high-quality relaxation after the exertions of a day’s motor racing has been added. To turn this dream into reality, wpm Projektmanagement GmbH was initially contracted as project controller, and shortly afterwards given responsibility for general planning.

wpm chooses think project!

wpm had already had experience of the online collaboration platform think project! during several projects, so decided to implement it for the Ascari project. Good communication is essential – especially as wpm designers are based in different locations – and because huge volumes of data need to be exchanged during a project of this scale. Distance between all parties involved was eliminated, and wpm always had the latest information at its fingertips to provide its client with up-to-date information at any time.
