Throughout the construction of an ultra-modern semiconductor factory, think project! supported the Bosch project team in its complex coordination tasks.

An ultra-modern semiconductor factory with a high-tech manufacturing and measuring centre was built over around 60,000 square metres – making it Robert Bosch’s largest-ever construction project to date. The plant commenced chip manufacture for the automotive industry in mid-2009.

The total investment in the project was around 600 million euros, with a third attributed to building construction costs. Over 50 contractors and 15 architecture and engineering offices were involved in construction.

think project! supports complex coordination tasks

Communications between around 90 project participants were coordinated by think project! during construction work, including staff from Robert Bosch GmbH’s central Plants and Buildings department and its subsidiary AIG, responsible for approval and implementation planning. Planners and building managers worked together on the platform, which gave access to all information, including plans, deadlines, logs, daily construction records and photographic documentation of the construction site.

Bosch has been using the online collaboration platform, think project! for complex coordination tasks since 2001. Simplified processes and a high degree of standardisation enable think project! to be introduced quickly and easily into every new project, resulting in Bosch standardising on the platform for 18 projects worldwide.
