Campeon - Munich/Germany

ARGE Campeon Ausführung creates new group headquarters for Infineon in Munich

Sophisticated document management throughout construction of Campeon, the Infineon Group’s new headquarters.

Infineon Technologies offers semiconductors and system solutions for automotive and industrial electronics, chip card and security applications as well as applications in communications. The establishment of Campeon has brought together most of the Infineon office locations previously located in and around Munich. Six modules created within a one- to three-floor freestanding building, has shaped sufficient space for workplaces. With an integrated canteen, cafes, restaurant, shopping mall and fitness centre, Campeon covers approximately 150,000 square metres above ground.

Campeon was built by ARGE Campeon Ausführung (a consortium of WOLFF & MÜLLER, Müller-Altvatter, Max Bögl, Lindner, Wayss & Feytag Schlüsselfertigbau).

Setting correspondence on the right track

All correspondence –  including minutes, contracts, notifications of defects and supplements – was created and distributed with the help of think project!. Most incoming correspondence was scanned using conventional multifunctional copiers configured to send the scanned file directly to think project! in PDF format.

In the background, scanned files underwent optical character recognition (OCR), so it became possible to search for terms and text passages in each file’s contents via a full text search.

Creating a searchable document archive

Keywords were assigned to saved documents before they were automatically stored in structured form, so they could be found again quickly.

By the end of the construction phase, the entire Campeon team had access to a powerful archive containing more than 60,000 searchable documents.
