The complex project raises an array of demanding requirements for information management, prompting the STRABAG/PORR ALPINE/Pittel+Brausewetter consortium to use think project!.
To start with, the correspondence delivery system was completely digitised and centralised. To maintain an overview of the enormous flood of emails, as well as the many conventional letters from external project partners, all correspondence is managed by a central inbox. There, incoming mail and fax correspondence, emails and plans are categorised – then forwarded to the relevant person via the platform and saved under the correct category.
What will be done with data at the end of the project is a very important point. The consortium is planning to use the think project! archive to retain the collected information and emails, including all attachments, to ensure not to lose any information. The archive also uses the standard think project! interface, so the consortium can continue to use the same functions available in the live system.
