The premises of Lufthansa Technik AG Alzey will be supplemented with the addition of a plasma facility by August 2015. LTAA is investing 3.2 million euros into the new construction project.
A 13 meter tall building for the new plasma facility will arise on the 300 square meter site. Aircraft engines which are damaged due to corrosion or general wear and tear will be reconditioned here via plasma repairs. Through this thermal spraying and coating process, the engines will become functional once again. The top floor of the building will provide space for offices as well as a laboratory.
Lufthansa Technik AG chose to use cross-enterprise collaboration platform think project! in order to simplify access to relevant data for all external project participants. This data is retrievable by all project participants at any time and from any location, as all that is required is a connection to the internet. Should it ever become important and necessary, all data is also audit-proof.
All relevant construction processes are handled via think project!, including, for example, document management as well as virtually all correspondence. Apart from this, think project! is also used for plan approval and invoice verification.
