Thinkproject connects field execution, information management and BIM coordination with new Field Manager and enhanced VDC capabilities

New capabilities help construction and infrastructure teams standardise execution, improve collaboration and keep every action traceable across the project lifecycle.

MUNICH, Germany – 10th June 2026 – Thinkproject today announced an expansion of its connected platform for field execution, information management and model-based coordination with the introduction of Field Manager, enhanced capabilities in VDC Collaboration and expanded support for expert BIM workflows through VDC Manager. Collaboration and expanded support for expert BIM workflows through VDC Manager. Together, these capabilities help organisations connect workflows, information and stakeholders across delivery and operations, supporting a more connected approach to managing the built asset lifecycle.

Addressing Fragmented Information and Execution

Construction and infrastructure organisations are under pressure to deliver increasingly complex projects while maintaining stronger governance, clearer audit trails and greater operational efficiency. At the same time, the industry faces growing productivity pressures and workforce constraints, increasing the need to do more with less.

Yet the challenge is rarely a lack of data. The information needed to manage delivery often exists across field activities, project documentation, BIM models and disconnected workflows. Without effective information management, this fragmentation slows decision-making, increases risk and limits visibility across projects and assets.

Thinkproject’s latest platform enhancements connect these critical workflows, helping teams standardise execution, improve collaboration and keep every action traceable. Together, they help organisations establish trusted information foundations that improve delivery today while supporting long-term asset performance.

“Our customers need more than digital forms or standalone BIM tools,” said Olivier Colinet, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Thinkproject. “The challenge isn’t collecting more data, it’s managing information in a way that supports better decisions, stronger governance and more consistent execution. With Field Manager and our latest VDC capabilities, we’re helping customers connect workflows, improve accountability and maintain trusted information from the field to the office.”

Standardising Field Execution

Field Manager introduces a mobile-first approach to field execution, enabling teams to create, manage and track inspections, quality processes, safety observations, incidents, defects and other site activities through configurable workflows across web and mobile.

Built as a native module within the Thinkproject platform, Field Manager combines configurable forms with workflow-driven task management, helping organisations standardise processes while maintaining clear ownership, audit-ready traceability and governance at scale.

Key benefits include:

  • Standardised field execution across projects and portfolios
  • Improved productivity for site and office teams
  • Clear accountability through workflow-driven task ownership
  • Audit-ready records with complete traceability
  • Mobile-first execution designed for field adoption

Extending BIM Collaboration and Coordination

Alongside Field Manager, Thinkproject is introducing new capabilities in VDC Collaboration, strengthening its role as the collaborative 3D layer of the Thinkproject Common Data Environment (CDE).

VDC Collaboration enables project teams to review, compare, discuss and resolve model-based issues within a shared project environment, helping stakeholders work from the latest approved information and align more effectively around project decisions. Complementing this, VDC Manager provides BIM and VDC specialists with advanced capabilities for model validation, clash detection, 4D sequencing, 5D quantity workflows and automation, helping teams deliver greater control and consistency across complex BIM processes.

Connecting Information Across the Asset Lifecycle

Together, Field Manager, VDC Collaboration and VDC Manager strengthen Thinkproject’s vision of connected, asset-centric information management. By bringing field execution, controlled project information and model-based coordination into a shared platform environment, Thinkproject helps organisations connect data, workflows and stakeholders across the built asset lifecycle.

The expansion reflects growing industry demand for standardised workflows, stronger accountability, improved compliance and broader access to model-based collaboration without requiring every stakeholder to become a BIM expert.

“Customers are looking for a clearer path away from disconnected point solutions and fragmented processes,” said Maxime Laugier, Chief Revenue Officer, Thinkproject. “They need connected workflows, trusted information and clear accountability across the lifecycle. Our approach helps organisations move from fragmented information to connected execution, with the visibility and control needed to make better decisions and manage risk more proactively.”

Thinkproject Field Manager, VDC Collaboration and VDC Manager will be showcased during a live launch event on 10 June 2026.
